ERSystems and Prairie Technologies host an Open House (9-26-05)
ERSystems and Prairie Technologies hosted an Open House on September 19, 2005 at
their corporate headquarters in Rockford, Minnesota.
The purpose of the Open House was to showcase the many sustainable features of
the LEED registered building, including a garden roof, pervious parking, solar
panels and wind turbines. Guests were treated to a tour of the roof, which was
designed by Prairie Technologies and a recipient of the 2005 Excellence in
Design Award from the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).
U.S.
Congressman Mark Kennedy toured the roof and spoke about the importance of
treating the environment with respect. Kennedy is a member of the Financial
Services and Transportation and Infrastructure Committees. William Good,
Executive Vice President of the NRCA, was also in attendance. He remarked on his
appreciation for ERSystems and Prairie Technologies innovative contributions to
the roofing industry.
Roofing
contractors, local businesspeople and local residents were also in attendance.
To top off the busy the day the ERSystems and Prairie Technologies corporate
headquarters was featured on the evening news of the Minneapolis-St. Paul NBC
affiliate.
